This website is an exhibition space part of Myriam D. Diatta’s PhD submission.

This is not a public website and it is not made to stand alone. The site is best viewed after reading chapters 3 and 4 of the exegesis where the contexts of the research were summarized and vignettes of reflexive writing and model-making were presented. Please refer to chapter 1 of the exegesis for more details.

The life of this research happened in its various contexts; in living rooms, with friends, with colleagues, and while travelling. The documentation of this research has two components. The first component is the exegesis; a text-based document. The second component is the exhibition; the website you are viewing now. This website aims to give a nuanced impression of the practice-led works of this research. As the exegesis is linear in its organization chapter to chapter, line by line and makes the research explicit, the site evokes a slow pace and quiet tone at which Myriam aligned her values and actions. Comparable to the way a collection of artifacts displayed on the walls of a physical gallery space are meant to communicate an idea, that which is communicated through the online space is of focus rather than the structure or technical functions of the website itself. In addition, the site includes an appendices that accompanies chapter 4: Entering the Interiorities. The appendices are discretionary to the PhD submission much like an exhibition catalogue may be supplementary to the works in a gallery.
